Honourable Abdullahi Usman Tumburkai, a dedicated community leader and trained journalist from Dandume Local Government has been nominated as the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party Candidates Forum for the upcoming Local Governments Election in Katsina State. The nomination took place at the party's Secretariat in Katsina, where the 34 elected party candidates gathered on Sunday 11/08/2024. This esteemed position reflects Abdullahi’s commitment to fostering democratic engagement and providing a platform for party candidates to connect with voters.

As Chairman, Abdullahi Tumburkai will oversee the forum’s initiatives aimed at enhancing transparency and accessibility in the electoral process. The Party Candidates Forum serves as a vital resource for candidates to discuss their platforms, engage with constituents, and collaborate on issues that matter most to the community.

Honourable Abdullahi Tumburkai has a long history of involvement in politics making him well-suited to lead the forum. His experience and passion for public service will be instrumental in guiding candidates through the electoral process.

The PDP Candidates Forum is planning a series of events before the upcoming elections, which will include town hall meetings and opportunities for voters to meet the candidates. These events will provide voters with the opportunity to hear directly from candidates and engage in meaningful discussions about the issues that affect their lives.

The PDP has produced candidates who are well-regarded within the party and have a significant impact on Katsina politics. We believe all the candidates will emerge victorious in the next upcoming Local Government elections in Katsina State.

The forum also nominates the following: Honourable Abdurrahman Rilwan from Kusada Local Government as Secretary, Honourable Yasir Ibrahim from Katsina Local Government as Treasurer, Honourable Tarik Yahaya from Musawa Local Government Financial Secretary. Organising Secretary, and Public Relations Officer,  goes to Honourable Nura Mai’adua and Honourable Hamisu Ismail Jibia respectively.
